How to obtain a Thai Police Clearance Certificate from outside Thailand
Police Clearance Service Center is the police agency authorised to issue Police Clearance Certificate for applicant who needs to travel abroad for the purpose of education, marriage, occupation or migration.
Please read the instruction carefully.
Thai national applicant
The applicant can send application by mail to the Police Clearance Service Center, with the following required documents:
1. Two Photographs (1 inch by 2 inches)
2. A certified photocopy of current passport
3. A certified photocopy of Thai ID card
4. A certified photocopy of House registration
5. A certified photocopy of given name change certificate or surname change certificate, if any
6. A certified photocopy of Military Service Document, if any
7. A certified photocopy of Marriage certificate or Divorce certificate (if any)
8. Three sets of fingerprints. Fingerprints can be taken at local police and they should include the official seal and signature of the official taking the fingerprint (fees applied). If the fingerprints do not contain official seal from the police, the fingerprint should be certified by the Thai Consulate. Please contact us for details.
9. A self-addressed envelope with international pre-paid stamps for the return of the Police Clearance Certificate must be included.
Suggestion
Applicant must certify true copy of all documents. It is advisable to send all documents with a letter of consent or Power of Attorney to authorise a member of family or friend to obtain and receive the Police Clearance Certificate on your behalf.
Foreign applicant
The applicant can send application by mail to the Police Clearance Service Center, with the following required documents:
1. A certified photocopy of Passport
2. Document(s) stating that the applicant used to work or live in Thailand
3. A certified photocopy of Thai Working Permit (if available)
4. Two Photographs (1 inch by 2 inches)
5. Three sets of fingerprints. Fingerprints can be taken at local police and they should include the official seal and signature of the official taking the fingerprint (fees applied). If the fingerprints do not contain official seal from the police, the fingerprint should be certified by the Thai Consulate. Please contact us for details.
6. A self-addressed envelope with international pre-paid stamps for the return of the Police Clearance Certificate must be included.

Police Clearance Certificate processing time
Applicant with no criminal record, or behavior endangering peace and order or security of the State, should receive police clearance certificate within 14 working days (excluding delivery time).
